David and Robin Lyons are the founders of Simplicité Natural Skin Care. They are passionate about providing the highest possible quality natural skin care whcih will effectively and gently improve the appearance of the skin.

David is one of Australia’s most experienced naturopaths; Robin is Simplicité’s product development and training manager.

The couple have sold their pure plant range in retail outlets, beauty salons and naturopathy clinics in Australia and around the world since 1992.

But the story goes back even further than that.

Simplicite products are based on David's clinical naturopathic work since 1983 and his seven years prior to that treating skin cancer and sun damaged skin at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

David has worked with skin complaints since 1979. He quickly gained a clinical reputation as 'the naturopath who could help' when all other avenues were exhausted. He used his formulations of herbal remedies and medicinal creams to treat conditions such as sun damage, acne and premature ageing.

David originally created an early version of Damask Rose Day Creme to treat Robin’s sensitive skin. "She came to see me about her skin. She had been using harsh products and had a bad, ongoing reaction. When she used one of my creams instead of the cortisone that had been prescribed the rash disappeared overnight". 

At the time Robin worked as a 6pm nightly news reader and TV journalist (as Robin Parkin on Channel Nine Brisbane) so the on-screen appearance of her skin was important.

Today  Robin looks years younger than her age. She attributes this largely to the nutrient-rich Simplicite products she has used every day since David began making the range. David looks good too - for the same reason.

Significantly, although Robin spent her childhood first in the Australian outback and then by the beach in Queensland, her very fair skin now shows little to no signs of the early sun damage it suffered during those years. In fact, after a recent full body skin check, the doctor pronounced (with amazement) that Robin had the skin of a 25 year old (She's in her early fifties!) Again, the antioxidants and active herbal principles of the Simplicite skin care range have a great deal to do with this.

David and Robin live in Brisbane, Australia, with their two sons. They spend every weekend they can at their 40 hectare rural property in the Lockyer Valley, which adjoins a little known world-heritage listed national park containing Gondwana remnant forest.
